About

I was raised in Ilfracombe, England, an artist's paradise that is home to Damien Hurst's Verity and numerous local galleries. I am self-taught and work primarily in acrylics, my favourite subjects are local landscapes, thanks to being blessed with the idyllic views here.

My style takes a loosely impressionist approach, I try to utilise bold but natural colour, contrast, and light. I also like to express minimalist and idealised motifs to convey some personal emotional tone.

Being a massive fan of everything impressionism, my favourite artist is the legendary Monet. I am particularly fond of Van Gogh, Cézanne, J.M.W. Turner, Chardin, Constable, Degas, the Group of Seven, and various English and Australian impressionists. I also appreciate expressionist greats like Edvard Munch and Francis Bacon, plus contemporaries such as Fraser Scarfe and David Farren.

I'm open to selling prints, cards, etc. If interested in sales or anything else please get in touch.
